The Energy Compass, a 3-year project led by the World Energy Council’s Future Energy Leaders (FEL) community, is dedicated to fostering global citizen engagement and informing the energy dialogue through a bottom-up approach. Our interactive tool offers clarity and guidance on energy topics, empowering curious citizens and policymakers alike with the knowledge needed for meaningful participation in shaping our energy future.
Complementing the World Energy Council’s existing toolkit, The Energy Compass strengthens the social pillar and regional narratives, leveraging our expert community to provide credible, relevant information to energy citizens worldwide.

What is energy citizenship
Energy Citizenship involves the active participation of people in energy systems and engaging in energy-related discourse, making conscious decisions related to energy. Energy citizens also known as prosumers are active consumers of energy, backed by their communities, governments, and regulators to take unified action around the production and utilisation of clean energy, ensuring that no one is left behind.
